Summer Programming
Beginning this year, Summer Exploration will be offered as a half-day academic program. Families may choose either a morning or afternoon session when registering.
Application Process:
- Complete the application in the Infinite Campus parent portal for the session(s) you want. Click here for the step-by-step guide.
- Applications are due March 6 (space is limited)
- You will be notified of acceptance into the Summer Exploration program by April 7.
- There is no fee for the 2026 summer program
Summer Programming Options

District 69 offers a NO-COST Summer Exploration program for students entering Kindergarten through 8th Grade in Fall 2026.
Summer Exploration will run for four weeks and be offered as a half-day program. Families may choose a morning or afternoon session. Instruction will focus on STEM (math) and reading.

- 8:15 a.m.: Breakfast (Optional)
- 8:30-11:30 a.m.: Summer Exploration Program
- 11:30-11:50 a.m.: Lunch
- 11:50 a.m.: Dismissal
PM Session (12:30-3:30 p.m.)
- 12:10-12:30 p.m.: Lunch (Optional)
- 12:30-3:30 p.m.:Summer Exploration Program
- 3:30 p.m.: Dismissal
Meals & Transportation:
Hot breakfast and lunch are provided at NO cost to families. Students may also bring their own lunch. FREE bus transportation is available for both AM and PM sessions.

JumpStart is a one-week, NO-COST transition program for students entering Kindergarten, 3rd Grade, and 6th Grade. Students are encouraged to attend even if they are not enrolled in the four-week Summer Exploration program.
Students will participate in STEM and Language Arts learning, school building orientation activities, enrichment, and team-building activities at their new school building.

- Incoming Kindergarten students: Madison Elementary

Enrollment Confirmation & Next Steps:
- You must complete your student’s 2026-2027 school year registration to be eligible for a summer program.
- Students who are accepted will receive a confirmation email by April 7.
