After-School Clubs (ASC)
In addition to the District's 5-day After-School Exploration (ASE) Program, each school offers After-School Clubs that meet throughout the week. Read below for more information.
- Each club is $28 per semester (unless otherwise noted)
- Activity Bus transportation is an additional $18 per year (Edison/Lincoln students only)
- Fees for clubs are applied after confirmations are sent. Payments can be completed through the Parent Portal, or by paying directly at the school or District Office.

We are back to school and back to drawing with Young Rembrandts! Drawings of this sessions introduces our students to a fascinating world of color, pattern, and design. We say goodbye to our favorite summer memory in our detailed still life drawing of a beach. We explore color usage and composition in our silly monster and fire truck drawings. You will be MOOOOOved with our stylized patterned cow drawing and kawaii art. As we enter the months of November and December, we will present a variety of stellar lessons. We believe that middle school students should be able to participate in a wide variety of after school activities. We are offering several options so that all interest levels and abilities can participate. If a student plays a sport or is involved in another club, they can still participate in Robotics. Students in the club work in groups to build and program a clawbot (or other robotic device) in a fun, non-competitive environment. All materials and instruction will be provided. No prior experience is required. Recommended for students who are beginning robotics, or students that do not want to participate in competitions. |

Robotics Team |

The Robotics team is a competitive team for students in grades 6-8 who have a strong interest in robotics and want to work with a team of 4-6 students to compete in the Niles Township Middle School Tournament. Teams will design, build, and program a robot to play against other teams in three VEX Robotics Competitions. Working at this level, students will develop skills in teamwork, leadership, perseverance, and communication. Previous robotics experience is not required to join the competitive team. There will be 5 competitive teams that will use the new V5 VEX equipment. Team members must submit an application and commit to meeting at least 2 hours per week (and additional time as competition dates draw near) from October through March. |
