Portal Information
Infinite Campus is the Parent & Student Portal for District 69 families. Parents can use Infinite Campus to monitor student attendance, check grades and pay for fees. As part of the CFC agreement with District 219, District 69 student data is in a shared database with D219. Sharing the database streamlines the transition to District 219 for students and parents. You should get an access code when registering a student in District 69. If you need your access code or have any questions please email help@skokie69.net

Technology plays an integral role in classroom instruction and is a key component in enriching the academic experiences of students. Students regularly access and interact with District 69 technology. In order to preserve a functional network environment and maintain equipment in good working order, families are required to sign an Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) called the Technology Agreement. A copy of the Technology Agreement can be found here.
Additionally, the district maintains a CIPA (Children’s Internet Protection Act) compliant content filter that uses both district created black lists and a subscription to a website definition service that provides real-time updates to block as many unacceptable websites as possible.
Student Photos/Recordings/Original Work
From time to time, staff members may take photographs, make videotapes, or create digitized pictures of students in school activities for use in publications, on the District 69 web page, or on cable television. Upon enrollment parents or guardians will complete the Use of Student Photo, Video, and Information agreement regarding the use of students pictures and work. This agreement will be valid for the duration of your child’s enrollment in District 69.

Governs information in a student’s education record, restricting access and use of student information.
Student Privacy 101: FERPA for Parents and Students
Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
Restricts the collection of personal information from children under 13 by companies operating websites, games, mobile applications, and digital services that are directed to children or that collect personal information from individuals known to be children.
Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA)
Imposes certain requirements on schools that utilize the federal E-Rate program to receive discounts for internet access and other technology services, or that receive federal grants for other technology expenses.
Student Online Personal Protection Act (SOPPA)
Guarantees that student data is protected when collected by educational technology companies, and that data is used for beneficial purposes only.

What is SOPPA?
What happens to the student data that we send to a third-party vendor? Information like names, birthdates, etc… may be provided by District 69 to a third party like NWEA MAP, etc… What protections do those companies have in place to make sure that our student’s data is not sold or freely given to others? This is exactly what SOPPA looks to address.
As part of SOPPA, these companies must enter into Data Privacy Agreements (DPA) with each district they work with. These agreements outline what data is stored, how it is protected, what the company can and cannot do with that data, and what they will do in the event of a data breach.

In the event of a data breach regarding student information, details will be provided here.
Under SOPPA you have a right to:
- Request to inspect and review your child’s covered information, whether it is maintained by the District, the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), or an operator.
- Request a copy of your child’s covered information, in electronic or paper form.
- Request corrections to factual inaccuracies contained in your child’s covered information.

Data Privacy Agreements
District 69 leverages the Student Data Privacy Consortium (SDPC), which is a unique collaborative of schools, districts, regional, territories, and state agencies, policy makers, trade organizations and marketplace providers addressing real-world, adaptable, and implementable solutions to growing data privacy concerns. Read more about the SDPC here. Through the SDPC we enter into contracts with 3rd party vendors who handle our student’s data. More information is available here.
