District 69 is proud to offer Summer Programming options. View our 2025 Summer Programming options below

  • District 69 will provide a Summer Exploration Program that is open to District 69 students who will be entering Kindergarten through 8th grade in Fall 2025.  

    The program will be held for four weeks for all grades, and week 5 will focus on “Jumpstart” for rising K, 3, and 6th graders only. Summer Exploration consists of a half day of academic instruction and a half day exploratory camp experience.  Academic blocks will focus on STEM and reading, and the enrichment blocks will be exploratory experiences that align with the academic portion of the day.  Exploration options will include sports, dance, STEM, cooking, gardening, and coding experiences.

    Program Location Summer Exploration: 

    • Grades K-5 at Edison Elementary
    • Grades 6-8 at Lincoln Junior High School
    • Jumpstart week 5 August 5-9 will be held at Madison (Kindergarten), 3rd (Edison), and 6th (Lincoln Jr. HS).
       

    Hours:

    • Half day academic 8:30-11:30 a.m.
    • Full day academic & enrichment 8:30-3:30 p.m.

    Please note:

    • There is no PM only academic option
    • There is no midday transportation, so half day academic only students will need to be picked up at 11:30 AM
       

    Program Cost:

    • Half day academic program (8:30-11:30)  - No Cost/Free  (Note: there is no mid-day transportation provided)
    • The full day academic & enrichment (8:30-3:30). 
    • The academic portion of the program is no cost/free.
    • The enrichment portion of the program is $100 per week, per child.
    • Breakfast and lunch is provided by Organic Life for no charge
    • Bus transportation to/from the full day summer exploration program (8:30 a.m -3:30 p.m.).  There is no mid-day transportation available.
    • Limited scholarships are available for families who qualify for free or reduced lunch.  A scholarship application will be included in the application form.
       

    Enrollment Confirmation & Next Steps:
    Families are encouraged to apply as early as possible. The District will attempt to enroll all interested students; however there will be capacity limitations. Your application will be confirmed by mid-March.

  • The Jumpstart Program provides academic experience in STEM and Language Arts, an orientation to the student’s new school, enrichment activities, school-based scavenger hunts, and team-building SEL activities for students entering Kindergarten, 3rd, and 6th grade in the fall (students who will moving onto Madison, Edison, or Lincoln for their first year).

      • NOTE: there is no mid-day bus

Application Information:

Applications for District 69’s Summer Programs open on Monday, February 10th. District 69 Summer Programs are only open to students attending a D69 school in the 2025-26 School Year. 

Application Process:

  • Fill out the application forms for the program(s) you wish to register your child(ren) for, in the Infinite Campus parent portal.  
  • Space is limited so fill out the application(s) by the deadline of February 28th.   
  • You will be notified of acceptance into the Summer Exploration program by March. 
  • You will need to complete your 2025-2026 school year registration and pay any programming fees by April 25, 2025 in order for enrollment to be finalized.  
  • Limited scholarships are available for families. 

Enrollment Confirmation & Next Steps:

Students who are accepted will receive a confirmation email by mid-March. 

Failure to complete the following steps will result in the forfeiting of your child’s spot in the program, and a student from the waiting list will be chosen to take their place.

Once your child is accepted to the program, you must:  

  • Complete your 2025-2026 school year registration.
  • Pay all summer programming fees by April 25, 2025.
  • If you need to set up a payment plan, you may set up recurring fee payments. Here is a step by step guide. Remember: final payments must be received by April 25, 2025. No exceptions will be made.
